Introduction

My name is Dylan Carter and I am 19 years old. I was born in Columbus, Georgia and I grew up there as well. My parents are Kevin Carter and Brandy Glisson. I have 3 siblings. Haley is 16, Jared is 12 and Emily is 20. I have a wonderful girlfriend, Rhea. She's 18 years old and from Berkeley, California. She came to Georgia during her junior year of high school and that's where we met. We both went to Jordan High school where I played 4 amazing years of baseball and her 1 year of softball. Baseball is a big passion of mine, I love every second of it. I love watching and playing     baseball. Video games are another passion of mine. I'm very competitive so I take video games extremely seriously. I also take sports very seriously. My teams are the Braves, Patriots, and the Georgia bulldogs. I really only had 1 friend growing up and though our moms are still besties, we don't talk at all. My girlfriend is really my only friend although she likes bullying me half the time we're together. Going back to baseball and the positions I played. My main position was 2nd base but I was the starting right fielder my junior year and I played catcher for the JV team. That's all I really have to say about myself.

Showing up to class on time is very important. Might as well get your moneys worth if you are paying for these classes. Be early so you have everything and get every bit of information from your teacher as possible. I was late a ton in high school and I nearly failed a grade because of it. Showing up is a different story but if you are going to class, might as well get the most out of it. Being on time is the key to success and it will help you in the long haul. Sometimes life happens and that's okay, but don't be a lazy procrastinator and take yourself to class and on time.

What I hope to get out of this writing class. My expectations for this class are very high. The reason being is noticing how experienced Mr. B is and the information he has provided with us so far. Hopefully I gain a lot from this class so I can become a better writer. I've always struggled with writing and I still kind of do. I'm setting myself to a higher standard while in this class because I know what I'm able to achieve from it once I'm finished. Better writing skills go a long way and it is one of those things that I want to be able to hold myself to in the future.
